Zoe-perry
Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). She made her first appearances in the television screen as Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on Roseanne, an ABC show Roseanne. However, her parents didn't want her to pursue acting until she became an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry states that she did not want to be an actor in highschool but decided to start playing as a way to make friends at Northwestern University when she switched to the university from Boston University. Perry had the opportunity to secure minor TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent when she finished her degree. However, her homesickness led her to California to return, where she started performing in the stage. Perry was a part of Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in 2013. The show featured the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in 9 episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC political drama Scandal, starring her dad. She played an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off episode that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. The actress was chosen for the role in spite of her strong family connection to the character.
