Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford is a British-born American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics made them popular in the rock world. The band didn't have an enormous following in The United States. However, their fame grew internationally, particularly in Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and successful career as a solo heavy metal musician after the group broke up from 1979. After taking vocal lessons she released her solo debut album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin on the Edge'. Ford disappeared for a few time from the scene after the two albums didn't receive much attention. In 1988, Ford returned to the world of music with an amazing album titled 'Lita. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both became big hits. However, her success was only short lived and for several years after, she went under the radar. Her release of Black in 1995 was followed by fifteen-year delay for the album 'Wicked Wonderland. The album she released was Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
